NEWS UPDATE 02/29/08:
We've had several people asking about mom's sister Danette Henry, and I just wanted to let those of you who were praying for her know that she went on home to heaven on January 21, 2008. It was not what we were hoping for, but we know that she is completely healed now and in a much better place. She definitely fought a good fight, and even in death, she was more than a conqueror because of her faith in Jesus Christ. We appreciate all of you who stood with us in prayer. We would greatly appreciate your continued prayers for the family now. Romans 8:37 says that, in all things, we are more than conquerors through Him that loved us.
For those of you who haven't already heard, Justin is engaged! We have some pictures in the photo gallery of him and his fiance Jordan you can go and look at.
As always, check out our schedule and come join us for a service when we get in your area!
Love & Prayers,
Candice
NEWS UPDATE 01/14/08:
Wow, I can't believe that it has been nearly a year since my last newsletter entry! I do apologize. I need to check up on these things more often.
We finished our new recording, "Shine the Light," towards the end of last year. If you would like to order a copy of it, you can do so by sending a check or money order for the amount of $14 (that includes shipping and handling) to The Sammy Glass Family, 289 S. No Pone Valley Rd., Decatur, TN 37322.
Hope you all are having a wonderful new year so far. I believe this is an important time for us as Christians to set ourselves apart to seek God as 2 Chronicles 7:14 says, "If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land." We need God's healing touch, but how serious are we about receiving it? In this time and season, more than ever, we need to humble ourselves, pray, seek God's face, and turn from our wicked ways. That's how serious we should be about it. God will not fail to bless when we truly seek Him like this. I'm excited to see what God has in store for those who make the decision to seek Him and devote time to Him more than just at church on Sunday. He loves us all so much and has so many good and perfect gifts for each one of us, but if we never seek, we will never find. (Matthew 7:7-11)
Have a blessed week!
Love & Prayers,
Candice
NEWS UPDATE 02/13/07:
Hey everybody! We had a wonderful two week tour in Florida and Georgia. God really blessed in each of the services. Several souls were saved, there were several people healed, and one man was delivered from alcoholism as well. We praise God! We had the privilege of staying at the Cedar Key Bed & Breakfast in Cedar Key, FL courtesy of Bill and Alice Phillips, and you can see some pictures from that in our photo gallery. That was such a blessing.
I hope you all have a Happy Valentine's Day. 1 John 4:10-11 "Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another." I know the whole focus of Valentine's Day is on romantic love, but I would encourage you to take this time of celebrating love to also check up on how you have been loving your brother, your sister, or your neighbor. 1 John 4 has put me under conviction more than once about that. See y'all out on the road!
Love & Prayers,
Candice
